Please click View it in your browser.       Disaster Relief Training 2010 Presented by Sarasota Community Organizations Active in Disaster Saturday June 12th 8:00-4:00 Held at Covenant Life Presbyterian Church 8490 McIntosh Rd Sarasota, FL 34238   If you, your church or organization, or anyone you know is interested in disaster preparation/relief/recovery, come join this training. Whether you are already involved in disaster relief or you just want more information, this training is for you!    Several local, state and national agencies will be participating in this training. They will give you an overview of and insight into what they do before, during and after a disaster strikes. They will provide you with what you as a volunteer can do in conjunction with their agency and then give you more information to get you started. There are opportunities for people of all ages to get involved with the disaster relief process. Information tables will also be set up so that you can converse one on one with someone from the specific agencies.   Lunch and some drinks/snacks will be provided. (Feel free to bring your own drinks/snacks) Attendance limited to the first 50 people to sign up. Registration fee is $5 to cover the cost of some of the food. Haiti Earthquake Trip 3 Final Thoughts

Please click View it in your browser.  Haiti Earthquake Trip 4 Final Thoughts I’m back from Haiti. Patrick and Agape are staying in the area an extra day to visit relatives and I needed to get home and get back to work. I didn’t know exactly what all the Lord wanted to do on this trip so I was just praying to be open to His lead and lead He did!   We were able to distribute food, meet with area leaders and tour some areas that suffered extensive damage to from the quake that we had not been to yet.   In the midst of all of this we feel led to begin working on a home building project in the Mayette area where Patrick & Barb through Living Word Ministries and Calvary Chapel Mayette are already ministering.    Construction can begin as soon as we get the funds and the teams together. Secure housing for teams and supplies is already in place at the Calvary Chapel Mayette compound.   To read my full synopsis and learn more about the housing project, please see our website at www.ReliefMinistriesCCSarasota.com and follow the links!   There are also pictures and a slide show of the trip on our website and you can find links to our youtube videos as well. Included are shots of the homes/areas we visited, Calvary Chapel Mayette baptism, food distribution, Patrick preaching at CCM and more!
