Huricane Irene 4

Just a quick note to let you know that things are going good.  We have a small team but everyone is working well together and working hard!  We've been working about 10 hours a day!  We've just been joined by Bob from Sarasota.  He attended our disaster relief training back in the spring and signed up for our email newsletters.  He heard of our response and drove up to help us!  He was a huge boost today!

The Bowery should be sending a team by Friday and we'll be rocking even more then!  We've had some local help, some ladies from CC Jacksonville and some of their kids joined us on Monday and we expect them to come again while we're here when the have time.  Also, one of the Navy bosses attends the church and he came out on Sunday to see what we were all about and join in the fun!  He offered to send some of the Navy guys as they were available and we've had some extra help the past two afternoons!

We've gotten a lot of work done even though we don't have a large crew.  We are also having to cut the trees into smaller pieces and carry them to the street as we decided not to spend the money to rent a Bobcat this time.

We've been posting some photos on our new facebook, just search Calvary Relief and friend us so you can keep up.  We also posted some videos on our youtube page, ReliefMinistriesCC.  Take a look when you get a chance!

The minstry that's been going on has been awesome.  God has really opened some doors for us to share Him with others.  One man said he wanted to talk to me about that book I kept shoving at him.  I was trying to remember when we talked about the Bible and couldn't think of a single time then realized it was our lives that were speaking to him!  His name is Sticks, so keep him in your prayers along with the rest of us and them!

Thanks for all your prayers and support.

Proclaiming the Lord in all we do,
In season and out of season.

Lord Bless,
Curt & Mary Jo Hencye
